Tree Care Club
What is Tree Care Club?
Tree Care Club provides a place to learn from each other about the urban forest’s many benefits to our health and our city’s ecosystem – and to consider holistically what the urban forest needs from us to enhance those benefits.
Newly planted urban trees need a lotta extra TLC for the first few years in their forever home. Tree Care Club invites you to be an everyday super-hero by learning about and promoting ways to help these young urban trees thrive in our city.
This is the Bristol Branch homepage listing events and activities you can get involved in Bristol, but many Tree Care Club activities can be adopted elsewhere. This is something we CAN do in the face of a changing climate.
Upcoming events and activities
Tree Care Club is bringing two new tree based activities to the city in 2026! Find out more about them and how to get involved below.
Crafternoon-Tree
In September 2026, we are hosting our first urban-tree-inspired craft-and-chat workshops.
Primarily aimed at adults, a Crafternoon-Tree session usually leaves you with a small piece of handicraft to take home to show your family or friends. In our first session, we will be weaving a rag rug similar to the one above using salvaged and natural materials (all of which will be provided).
The session inspires new ways to connect and care for our urban forest through knowledge exchange in an informal setting.
Heart of BS13 Roundhouse Event
Join us for the afternoon at the Heart of BS13 Roundhouse, located tthrough the gate between 63-65 Blagrove Crescent, Hartcliffe, Bristol.

Why learn about urban trees?
We depend on trees. Our health and wellbeing are connected to their health and wellbeing.
Dr. Alex Shigo once said, “Learn about trees and their associates so that you can help make better decisions for their long-term, high-quality survival.”
What can you expect from our activities?
- Ways to collect and make memories from the natural world
- Notice how seasons affect trees throughout the year
- New ways to appreciate and care for urban trees
